Novol 99313 Ultra Fuller 100 Acrylic Primer (800ml) – High-Build Filling Power
The Novol Ultra Fuller 100 is a high-performance, two-component (2K) acrylic primer/filler from the ULTRA Line. Engineered with high-quality resins and a reduced VOC content, it is designed for automotive repairs where superior leveling and thickness are required to correct surface irregularities and deep sanding marks.
Its high spraying viscosity makes it an exceptional "high-build" filler, yet it remains versatile enough to be used as a standard primer depending on your thinning ratio.
Key Features & Benefits
- Exceptional Filling Capacity: Designed to be applied in very thick layers, making it perfect for repairing large scratches and leveling out uneven bodywork.
- Rapid Processing: Reaches a sandable state in just 2 hours at 20°C (or 30 minutes at 60°C), significantly speeding up the repair workflow.
- Universal Compatibility: Can be used under both solvent-borne and water-borne basecoats, meeting EU Directive 2004/42/EC standards.
- Strong Multi-Substrate Adhesion: Bonds effectively to steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, polyester putties, epoxy primers, and even certain plastics.
- Easy Sanding: Formulated with mineral fillers that ensure the cured surface is easy to block-sand without excessive paper clogging.
Professional Application Strategy
The final result of Ultra Fuller 100 depends largely on how you adjust the viscosity for the task at hand.
Mixing & Thinning:
- High-Build Filler: Mix 5:1 with hardener. Add up to 10% acrylic thinner for a thick, filling layer.
- Standard Primer: Mix 5:1 with hardener. Add up to 20% acrylic thinner for a smoother, thinner coat ready for fine sanding.
Steps for Success:
- Prep: Clean and degrease the surface. Sand the substrate with P180–P240 for mechanical adhesion.
- Application: Use a spray gun with a 1.6mm to 1.8mm nozzle. Apply 2 to 3 layers, allowing a brief flash-off time between coats.
- Sanding: Once cured, start with P360–P500 for dry sanding or P600–P1000 for wet sanding to achieve a paint-ready finish.
Expert Insight: Ultra Fuller 100 is particularly good at acting as an isolator. If you have used polyester putties that are prone to "sinking" or reacting with the topcoat, a solid layer of this primer will seal the repair and provide a stable foundation.
