Application Guidelines:
To ensure a flawless finish, follow the standard 2K application process:
- Preparation: Ensure the basecoat is fully flashed off (matt appearance) and free of any dust or tack-rag residue.
- Mixing: Mix the clear coat with U-POL Maximum Hardener (Standard, Fast, or Extra Fast depending on temperature) at a 2:1 ratio.
- Spray Setup: Use a 1.2mm – 1.4mm fluid tip on an HVLP or Trans-tech spray gun at the manufacturer's recommended pressure (typically 2.0 BAR / 29 PSI).
- Coating: Apply one medium coat, allow a 5–10 minute flash-off, followed by a full second coat.
- Drying: Air Dry: 6–12 hours (@ 20°C). Bake: 20–30 minutes (@ 60°C metal temperature).
