Novol N91076 N-Range Hybrid 200 – Lightweight Micro Glassfiber Putty, 1.0 Litre
The Novol N91076 Hybrid 200 is a cutting-edge, two-component (2K) reinforced filler from the professional N-Range series. This 1.0-litre unit represents a significant evolution in "glass" putties. By utilizing Micro Glassfiber technology, Novol has created a hybrid that offers the immense structural strength of traditional long-strand fiberglass fillers but with the creamy, easy-spreading consistency of a lightweight finishing putty.
It is the ultimate solution for repairing perforated corrosion, structural cracks, or large dents where maximum mechanical reinforcement is required without the "shaggy" mess of old-fashioned fiberglass.
Key Features & Benefits
- Micro Glassfiber Reinforcement: Contains millions of microscopic glass fibers that create a high-strength internal "matrix," providing excellent bridge-building properties over small holes and cracks.
- Hybrid Creamy Texture: Unlike traditional "hair" fillers that are difficult to spread, Hybrid 200 applies as smoothly as a standard putty, allowing for much more precise shaping.
- Lightweight Formula: Engineered with low-density fillers, making it significantly easier to sand than standard glass fillers - saving time and abrasive paper.
- Extreme Mechanical Strength: Offers superior resistance to vibrations and temperature fluctuations, ensuring the repair won't crack or pop out over time.
- Low Linear Shrinkage: High-grade resins ensure the filler stays stable, preventing the "outline" of the repair from appearing after the paint has cured.
- Multifunctional Adhesion: Bonds aggressively to:
- Bare Steel and Aluminium
- Galvanized (Zinc-coated) Steel
- Polyester Laminates (GRP/Fiberglass)
- Existing sanded 2K paintwork
Professional Application Tips - Structural Prep: Sand the substrate with a coarse grit (P80–P120) to create a deep mechanical "key" for the micro-fibers to bite into. Degrease thoroughly with Novol N65503 Silicone Remover.
- Bridging Holes: For small holes caused by corrosion, apply the first layer firmly to push the micro-fibers into the gap. For larger holes, use a piece of fiberglass matting behind the repair for extra support.
- Mixing: Mix the putty and hardener until the color is 100% uniform. Streaks of unmixed hardener will cause "bleeding" or staining in the final paint finish.
- Sanding: Start shaping with P120 or P150. Because this is an N-Range "Hybrid," you can often move straight to a fine filler like Sleek 100 or even a high-build primer after finishing with P240.
Why Choose the N-Range Hybrid 200?
In the past, using a glass filler meant a lot of heavy sanding and a "lumpy" finish that required multiple layers of fine putty to fix. The Novol Hybrid 200 gives you the "armored" strength of glass with the finishing ease of a modern lightweight putty. It is the perfect choice for high-stress areas like wheel arches, door bottoms, and sills.
