U-POL B is a high-performance, long-strand glass fibre reinforced filler designed for structural repairs and bridging gaps. Often referred to as "Bridging Compound," it is the industry standard for repairing holes caused by rust or impact and for reinforcing weak areas in GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic/Fiberglass). Its yellow-pigmented formula is exceptionally strong, water-resistant, and provides a permanent, non-shrinking repair.
Key Performance Features:
- Long-Strand Reinforcement: Contains long glass fibre strands that create a structural "mesh" over holes and cracks, providing much higher tensile strength than standard body fillers.
- Waterproof Properties: Unlike conventional polyester fillers that can absorb moisture, UPOL B is highly water-resistant, making it ideal for marine repairs or areas prone to moisture (like wheel arches and sills).
- High-Build Bridging: Specifically engineered to bridge holes up to 25mm (1 inch) in diameter without the need for a separate fiberglass mat or resin kit in many cases.
- Non-Shrinking: The high resin-to-filler ratio ensures the repair remains stable and doesn't "sink" or contour over time.
- Versatile Substrate Adhesion: Bonds aggressively to bare steel, aluminum, original paintwork, GRP/Fiberglass, and even rigid plastics.
Safety Warning: Contains Styrene. Use in a well-ventilated area. Wear nitrile gloves and eye protection. When sanding, always wear a dust mask, as the glass fibre dust can be a significant skin and lung irritant.
