Novol 37333 Protect 330 Acrylic Filler – White (3.5L)
Go big on your next restoration or fleet project with the Novol Protect 333/330 high-capacity 3.5-litre unit. This professional-grade 2K acrylic filler is engineered for workshops requiring high throughput, offering a massive volume of high-build primer that excels in both filling power and ease of sanding.
The White variant is the strategic choice for projects finishing in light topcoats (white, silver, bright reds, or yellows), as it provides a bright, high-opacity base that reduces the number of color coats needed to achieve a perfect finish.
Key Features & Benefits
- Massive Coverage: The 3.5L tin is designed for full-vehicle resprays, large commercial vehicles, or heavy-duty industrial applications.
- High-Build Filling: Excellent vertical stability allows you to apply thick layers without sagging, making it perfect for smoothing out coarse sanding marks and minor panel ripples.
- Superior Isolation: Provides a stable chemical barrier that prevents "mapping" or sinking of polyester fillers underneath.
- Rapid Drying: Despite the high solids content, it cures quickly to a crisp finish that won't gum up your sandpaper.
- Excellent Adhesion: Bonds securely to steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, polyester putties, and old cleaned paintwork.
- VOC Compliant: Formulated to meet modern environmental standards without sacrificing professional performance.
Professional Mixing Strategy
For a 3.5-litre unit, accuracy in mixing is vital to avoid wasting large batches of material.
- The Activator: To maintain the 5:1 ratio, you will need 700ml of Novol H 5520 Hardener for the full 3.5L tin.
- Thinning: Depending on your spray gun setup:
- As a High Filler: Add 0–10% Novol THIN 850 acrylic thinner.
- As a Primer-Surfacer: Add 15–20% thinner for a smoother, thinner lay-down.
- Application: Use a spray gun with a 1.6mm to 1.9mm nozzle for high-build filling.
- Sanding: Once cured, dry sand with P400–P500 or wet sand with P600–P1000 for a mirror-smooth topcoat foundation.
Pro Tip: White primer is a "cheat code" for achieving vibrant colors. If you are painting a car a bright "Signal Red" or "Racing Yellow," using this White Protect 330 base will make the topcoat color significantly more vivid than using a standard grey primer.
