Professional Application Strategy
Achieving the right "texture" is an art form. We recommend practicing on a piece of cardboard first.
- Preparation: Clean the plastic thoroughly with Novol Plus 780 Silicone Remover. If the plastic is "new" or oily, use Novol Plus 700 Adhesion Promoter first to ensure a permanent bond.
- Texture Control:
- Fine Structure: Use a 1.4mm nozzle at higher pressure (2.2 bar).
- Coarse/OEM Structure: Use a larger 1.6mm – 1.8mm nozzle at lower pressure (1.5 – 1.8 bar).
- Application: Hold the gun further away than usual (approx. 25–30 cm) to allow the "droplets" to form the structure on the surface.
- Coats: Apply 2 thin layers. Allow 5–10 minutes of flash-off time between coats.
- No Sanding: Do not sand or polish the final coat, as this will flatten the texture and ruin the effect.
