A car wishbone, commonly known as the control arm, is a component in the front suspension system of many cars. A wishbone and MacPherson strut are the most widely used form of front suspension systems. Wishbones bushes are a very important suspension component as they link the spindle, hubs and wheels to the vehicle’s chassis. When the bushes become worn, it can cause problems for the vehicle that may compromise handling, comfort, and safety. Firstly, it is essential to determine the type of suspension system that is in your vehicle e.g. double wishbone or MacPherson strut (classic pseudo, pseudo with fictive steering axis or pseudo with independent steering axis). Some important information for selecting the correct wishbone bush is the fitment position (front, left/ right, upper or lower), shape/ size and date limitation of the unit. As car manufacturers regularly update certain peripherals and design of their models, some bushes will only be suitable for particular models of certain years.
