Buying & Fitting Guide

Buying & Fitting Guide
To ensure that you get the correct brake caliper peripheral, it is best to check the size and shape of the one currently installed so you can compare with the listed parts. Determining the correct caliper type is essential. Relevant information for selecting the correct unit is displayed below in our specifications. As car manufacturers regularly update the shape of their models, some brake calipers will only fit particular models of certain years.

Helpful Tips

Helpful Tips
Brake pad wear can be an indicator of caliper condition. If the inboard pad is more worn than the outboard pad, the floating caliper may be seized. Either type of caliper fixed or floating will cause the brake pads to drag against the rotor when the pistons are seized into the caliper bores. In addition, the caliper boot should not show any signs of fluid leakage nor should the caliper boot appear hardened or cracked. The piston will eventually corrode and seize in place if a defective caliper boot allows moisture to accumulate between the caliper bore and piston. We recommend having your braking system inspected every 12,000km in order to ensure the safety of you and your passengers.
