Question 1

Gummi Pflege/ Rubber Care

Accepted Answer

Rubber seals around windows and doors often go untreated and deteriorate over the course of time. Gummi Pflege provides long lasting protection for the rubber seals in vehicle doors, windows and luggage compartments. We recommend the application of this product prior to the installation of wind deflectors.

Question 2

Helpful Tips

Accepted Answer

Before fitting, hold the deflector up to the door frame of your car to ensure it is the correct shape and size. Some wind deflectors are only designed to fit cars that have a certain number of doors as this impacts the length of the deflector e.g. 3-door vehicles have longer doors than saloons or hatchbacks. In most cases, these deflectors will be a perfect fit for your window channel. There may be strips of double-sided adhesive along the top of the deflector to further secure it in place, simply peel the protecting top layer off the adhesive and proceed to regular installation. Any models that require fitting clips will have the clips included. We also recommend cleaning the window channel to remove any dirt or debris with a screwdriver or similar utensils before attempting the installation.

Question 4

What are wind deflectors?

Accepted Answer

Wind Deflectors are fitted either into the window channel or mounted externally to the door frame to prevent an accumulation of turbulence and buffeting inside your vehicle and to maximize in-cabin airflow. They reduce wind noise and allow natural air to circulate in the vehicle. They are made from acrylic glass and help to deflect wind away from your vehicle to enhance your driving experience.

Question 5

Do wind deflectors increase drag?

Accepted Answer

Wind deflectors do not increase drag. They actually decrease drag by deflecting wind away from your car, improving your car’s aerodynamics and airflow, allowing you to have the window down in any weather or driving condition such as motorway driving on a rainy day.

Question 6

Do wind deflectors decrease fuel consumption?

Accepted Answer

Keeping your car well ventilated reduces the need to use the air conditioning system, which certainly will reduce your fuel consumption.
