Buying & Fitting Guide

Buying & Fitting Guide
There are many different types of shock absorbers on the market like coil-overs, gas and air-assisted. Each type of shock will offer different handling characteristics. Finding the correct one is most important. We recommend that front or rear shock absorbers be replaced in pairs to avoid an imbalance in handling. An imbalance in shock performance can result in a failed NCT/ MOT. Be sure to check what type of shocks and specific fitment position you need before buying or see our shock absorber guide for more information.

Helpful Tips

Helpful Tips
To determine if you have a failing shock absorber, you can carry out a visual inspection by observing for discolouration at the top of the shock which may indicate a leak. Alternatively, you can check the distance between the four corners of the vehicle and the level ground, if one corner has a lower resting point, you more than likely have a failing shock. You can also push down on the suspected area, when pressure has been removed, the vehicle should bounce up and return to its original position stiffly, without continuing to bounce. We recommend that you should have your shock absorbers inspected every 50,000km.
