Overview

Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover (16oz)

Erase stubborn mineral deposits, calcium buildup, and water spots before they cause permanent clear-coat etching with Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover. When water evaporates under direct sunlight, it leaves behind concentrated alkaline minerals that bake into paint, clear plastics, and glass. Engineered with a specialized mineral-neutralizing gel, this advanced formula chemically breaks the bond of hard water stains, lawn sprinkler overspray, and dried acid rain residue - restoring optical clarity and mirror gloss without requiring aggressive compound cutting.

Key Features:

Instantly Neutralizes Mineral Stains: Dissolves alkaline calcium, sodium, magnesium, and limescale deposits that normal car shampoos and clay bars cannot remove.
Surface-Clinging Gel Formula: Thick gel consistency clings to vertical panels and windshields, preventing messy runoff and giving the formula time to break chemical mineral bonds.
Prevents Permanent Etch Marks: Removes surface-level dried minerals before they permanently crater and etch deep into your vehicle's clear coat.
Restores Glass & Paint Clarity: Cleanses water-spotted windshields, windows, exterior chrome, polished metals, and glossy paintwork.
Preps Surface for Protection: Strips mineral buildup out of paint pores so fresh waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings can bond directly to bare clear coat.

How to Use for Best Results:

Prep the Surface: Work completely out of direct sunlight on cool panels. Wash the vehicle thoroughly to remove loose dirt and road grit, then dry.
Apply Gel: Dispense 3 to 4 dime-sized drops of Water Spot Remover onto a premium microfiber applicator pad.
Work into Panel: Gently massage the product over a 2' x 2' section using light, overlapping motions for 30–60 seconds. Do not scrub aggressively and never allow the product to dry on the surface.
Neutralize & Wipe: Immediately rinse the treated area with running water or wipe down with a damp microfiber towel, followed by a dry towel to neutralize and remove all gel residue.
Protect: Reapply a wax, sealant, or ceramic coating to lock in gloss and shield against future water spotting.

Pro Tip: Water spot removers are acidic treatments formulated to dissolve alkaline minerals - which means they will strip existing waxes and sealants. Always reapply paint protection like Chemical Guys HydroSlick or Butter Wet Wax immediately after removing spots!
