U-POL S20600 is a high-solids (HS), 2K acrylic urethane topcoat that delivers a vibrant, "Pure White" finish. As a Direct Gloss system, it does not require a clear coat, as the gloss and color are combined in a single stage. Application Guidelines
To achieve a professional, deep-gloss white finish:
- Hardener Selection: Pair with U-POL S2030 (Fast) or S2032 (Standard) hardeners. Use S2032 for larger areas to allow the paint time to level out and achieve maximum gloss.
- Preparation: Apply over a properly sanded and degreased primer (like S2025W White Primer for the best color accuracy). Final sand the primer with P400 – P500 (dry) or P800 (wet).
- Gun Setup: Use a gravity-fed spray gun with a 1.3mm to 1.4mm fluid tip.
- Process:
- Apply one medium coat.
- Allow a 5–10 minute flash-off (until tacky).
- Apply one full "wet" coat.
- Drying: Air Dry: 8–12 hours (@ 20°C). Bake: 30 minutes (@ 60°C metal temperature).
