Novol 34502 Structure Topcoat – Textured Black Finish (500ml)
Give your automotive trim and plastic components a factory-fresh look with the Novol Structure Topcoat. This high-quality, one-component (1K) acrylic product (Product Code: 34502) is specifically designed to replicate the fine-grained texture found on original plastic bumpers, mirror housings, and dashboard elements.
The Black finish provides excellent depth and UV resistance, making it the ideal choice for restoring weathered plastics or adding a rugged, non-reflective aesthetic to metal surfaces.
Key Features & Benefits:
- OEM Texture Replication: Restores the original "bumpy" or granular feel of automotive plastics and trims.
- Direct-to-Plastic Adhesion: Formulated for excellent bond strength on most common automotive plastics (ABS, PC, PA, PPO, PP/EPDM).
- Excellent Hiding Power: High pigment density ensures full coverage in 1–2 coats, effectively masking minor scratches and repairs.
- Weather & UV Durable: Resists fading, chalking, and environmental degradation, maintaining its deep black look for years.
- Fast Drying: Rapid evaporation allows for quick handling and reassembly of vehicle components.
- No Clearcoat Required: Dries to a tough, durable finish that does not require additional sealing.
Professional Application Strategy
The final texture of Novol Structure Topcoat is highly dependent on your spray technique. By adjusting the distance and air pressure, you can fine-tune the granularity of the finish.
Application Steps:
- Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly with a silicone remover. If applying to bare PP/EPDM, use a dedicated plastic primer first for maximum adhesion.
- Layers: Apply 2 thin layers.
- For Fine Texture: Spray from a distance of 20–25cm with standard pressure.
- For Coarser Texture: Increase the distance slightly or lower the air pressure to allow larger droplets to form.
- Flash-off: Allow 5–10 minutes between coats.
Pro Tip: This product is fantastic for "masking" repairs made with plastic fillers. The structure helps hide the transition line between the repair area and the original plastic surface better than a smooth paint would.
