Overview

SDS-Plus Auger Wood Drill Bits 10-20mm - Set of 6

The YATO YT-3300 is a specialized set of high-performance 230mm auger bits designed for heavy-duty timber construction and deep-hole drilling. Unlike standard wood bits, this set features an SDS-Plus shank, allowing it to be used directly with rotary hammer drills (in rotation-only mode) for maximum torque and efficiency when boring through thick beams.

Key Features:

Material: High-Carbon Steel (HCS). The bits are induction-hardened to ensure the cutting edges remain sharp while providing the flexibility needed to withstand high torsional stress.
Shank Type: SDS-Plus. This allows for a secure, "click-in" fit specifically for rotary hammers, providing superior power transfer compared to standard cylindrical shanks.
Tip Geometry: Features a Self-Feeding Threaded Point. The screw-tip pulls the bit into the wood automatically, significantly reducing the physical effort required by the operator.
Cutting Head: Equipped with a single main cutter and a side "spur" that shears the wood fibers, resulting in a smooth, burr-free hole wall.
Flute Design: Lewis Spiral (Single Wing). This wide, deep-waisted flute is engineered for the rapid evacuation of large wood chips, which is essential for preventing the bit from seizing in deep timber.
