Overview

Twist Drill Bit HSS 8.0mm - Single

The STHOR represents a wide range of High-Speed Steel (HSS) twist drill bits designed for precision drilling in various industrial and workshop materials. This series is built to DIN 338 standards, ensuring consistent quality, straightness, and dimensional accuracy across all sizes.

Key Features:

Material: HSS (High-Speed Steel). This alloy is designed to maintain its hardness even at high temperatures, which is crucial when drilling into metals that generate significant friction heat.
Manufacturing Process: The bits in this series are roll-forged, providing a balance between durability and cost-effectiveness.
Point Angle: 118°. This is the classic "universal" angle, making the bits suitable for a wide array of materials including steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals.
Shank Type: Cylindrical (Straight). The shank diameter is identical to the cutting diameter, compatible with standard three-jaw drill chucks found on handheld drills and stationary drill presses.
Surface Finish: Often finished with a black oxide layer or polished, depending on the specific model, to improve chip evacuation and reduce surface friction.
