Overview

Chemical Guys HydroThread Ceramic Fabric Protectant & Stain Repellent (16oz)

Keep interior upholstery and outdoor textiles looking pristine with Chemical Guys HydroThread. Formulated with advanced SiO2 ceramic technology, HydroThread infuses individual textile fibers with a durable, invisible shield that repels moisture, spills, and everyday grime. Unlike heavy conventional sealants that leave fabrics feeling stiff, crusty, or plastic-like, this ceramic spray creates extreme hydrophobic liquid-beading while preserving the soft, breathable texture of your automotive cloth seats, floor mats, and canvas tops.

Key Features:

Ceramic Spill & Stain Shield: Repels liquids on contact - coffee, tea, soda, water, and pet accidents bead up on the surface so they can be blotted away before soaking in.
Preserves Natural Softness & Breathability: Coats individual fabric strands at the microscopic level without clogging the weave, keeping materials soft, pliable, and fully breathable.
Built-In UV Sun Protection: Guards against harsh ultraviolet rays to prevent interior fabrics and canvas convertible tops from fading, drying out, and discoloring.
Long-Lasting Ceramic Durability: Withstands everyday foot traffic, friction, and wear far longer than standard silicone-based scotch guards.
Versatile Fabric Compatibility: Perfect for automotive cloth seats, plush carpets, woven floor mats, door trim panels, trunk liners, and exterior fabric convertible soft tops.

How to Use for Best Results:

Prep the Fabric: Thoroughly vacuum and clean the fabric using a dedicated cleaner (such as Chemical Guys Lightning Fast Stain Extractor). Ensure the surface is completely clean and 100% dry before application.
Spray Evenly: Shake the bottle well. Mist HydroThread lightly and uniformly across the fabric surface from a distance of 15–20 cm (6–8 inches).
Work into Fibers: Gently brush the area using a soft horsehair detailing brush to work the ceramic formula deep into the fabric weave.
Cure & Layer: Allow the fabric to dry for 20 minutes. For maximum hydrophobic stain resistance, apply a second light coat and brush in.
Full Dry Time: Keep the surface dry and allow it to fully cure for 24 hours before heavy use or exposure to moisture.

Pro Tip: When spills happen, blot - never scrub! Use a clean microfiber towel to gently blot the beaded liquid off the surface. Scrubbing can drive moisture deeper into the cushion underneath.
