By now most of us are winding down for the Christmas break and are looking forward to a few days of doing very little. So to get you in the spirit of doing very little we've put together a selection of our favorite motoring related YouTube clips for your viewing pleasure:
1) Remember Hot Wheels? Well in May this year the minature models were transformed to into full scale toys for big boys. With over eight and a half million views this world record breaking clip is worthy of being top of our list. Submitted by Elvedin
2) A controversial submission from Ian (we'd expect nothing less!) Apparently VW chased the producers of this clip through the courts.
3) A flying lap onboard a 250cc 2 stroke at the Northwest 200 back in 1997. Submitted by our resident bike nut Colin, who has been to every Northwest for the last 15 years!
4) Submitted by Stuart, the only musican at MicksGarage, this video contains Kylie, drums and cars... but most importantly, Kylie:
5) This is my favourite clip, Irish Hillclimb competitor, Simon McKinley demonstrating his absolutely phenominal car control and his ginormous balls of steel! Mckinley also competes in a Lant Single seater which he drives in exactly the same way, loud pedal pinned to the floor and sideways everywhere! Top bloke!!
6) Clip number 6 submitted by Chris is the lanky American YouTube phenomonen that is Ken Block and the Gymkhana series. This is the best of the bunch, Gymkhana 3:
7) Irish rally legend, the late Bertie Fisher shows his skill in the Manta 400 and avoids a potentially disasterous accident. Submitted by Chris no'2:
8) John our online marketing manager submitted this clip, one of the best pieces of advertising in a long long time. 45 million views cant be bad!!
9)Tom our resident Drift expert submitted this clip, the perfect drift.....aparently! I dont know a whole lot about drifting but i do know that throwing a 600 bhp monster of a car into a corner going backwards and maintaining control requires a heck of a lot of skill:
10) And finally, a classic submitted by Karl. One most of you will have no doubt seen, Clarksons amazing jowls flapping in the wind, driving the Ariel Atom:
