We officially launched our Stars and their car series last week, beginning with Limericks All Ireland winning captain Declan Hannon. This week we have Mr Gaeigle Hector Ó hEochagáin answering our questions. If you didn’t see our first post here is a little bit of background info on the series. This series will feature some of Ireland biggest sporting personalities alongside tv and radio presenters alike. This fun motoring related Q&A will give you the audience a great insight into some of the sporting stars you watch week in week out, not forgetting the presenting you watch and listen to on a daily basis. The goal of the series is to donate as much money as possible to our partner charity that is Bumbleance. For those of you who have never heard of bumbleance, it is Irelands only private ambulance service dedicated to helping sick children. It's a brilliant cause that we love helping out. Each post we are putting up in the series will have a donation attached to it on behalf of the participants for the charity. We’d just like to thank all those who have taken part, taking the time out of their busy schedules to help a great cause.
We are also donating a percentage of the profits from our great value range of creative kids headphones. For every pair, we sell we will be donating a percentage of the profits, so this is a great opportunity to do your bit for charity while picking up a bargain stocking stuffer in the process.
Hector Ó hEochagáin
Bio:
One of the most recognisable characters on Irish television, Hector has been on our screens and airwaves for many, many years now. Whether it's as Gaegile or in English, Hector has a great ability when it comes to delivering his message to the viewers. Beginning his career on television Hector has grown in popularity. He first aired on TG4 continuing with the channel for several years. One of our favourites shows he stared in was his documentary “Chasing the lions” when he went to New Zealand to follow the British and Irish Lions during their tour. Not only has Hector worked on television, but he has only featured on Irish radio waves from, hosting 2FM and Today Fm in the past. His inclusion of Irish throughout his work has really helped keep the language alive, giving it an exposure to those that may not have experienced it before.
