Castrol EDGE 5W30 FST fully synthetic engine oil.
Castrol have developed EDGE 5W30 in cooperation with the VW Group but Edge 5w30 meets a wide range of manufacturer specs including the latest Mercedes and BMW longlife oil specs.
The latest Castrol Edge engine oils feature what Castrol call "Fluid Strength Technology™". Castrol say that Fluid Strength Technology is a new dynamic system that actively strengthens the oil, continuously responding and adapting to your engine's every need even under the severest possible pressures.
Castrol Edge 5w30 sets new standards in the industry in regards to cleanliness of the engine, thereby reducing harmful emissions and subsequent damage to the environment.
The technology in this oil also reduces long term blocking thereby prolonging the life of diesel particulate filter.
Castrol EDGE 5W30 is equally suitable for petrol and diesel vehicles where performance specifications VW504 00 and VW507 00 are demanded. Plus Castrol has managed to meet the requirements of most previous VW oil specifications making it suitable for new and older engines.
Use in place of Castrol Formula SLX LongLife II (now discontinued).
