The comprehensive range of Mintex products includes three safety-optimized
brake fl uids that can be used individually:
• DOT 3 brake fl uid is to be used for brake and clutch systems if
specifi ed in the car manufacturers guide lines.
• DOT 4 brake fl uid is recommended for brake and clutch systems
for which a nonpetroleum fl uid is specifi ed, including ABS.
• DOT 4 LV/DOT 5.1 brake fl uid is recommended for vehicles
with ESP/ASR systems. Also suitable for all brake and clutch
systems for which a non-petroleum fl uid is specifi ed.
• LHM+ hydraulic fl uid is suitable for vehicles requiring a
mineral based brake fl uid (e.g. certain Citroen models).
Important: Brake fl uid should be replaced every 2 years or when boiling
point drops below 200°C. In case boiling point drops below 180°C brake fl uid
must be replaced immediately!
