\"suitrun\" That’s me (Skipping to my car) I skipped to my car after work on Friday anxious to hit the road to Kerry. It was going to be a relaxing weekend on the sun soaked beaches. It\u2019s always sunny in Kerry! It was about 4 months since I was home last and the number of concerned phone calls from my family and friends were increasing. Okay, I’m lying! It was my mother, ringing me every day to see how the the big shmoke was and if I was coming home for the weekend. So the car was clean, full of fuel and ready for the journey. As I approached the N7<\/a><\/strong> that day I realised that the N did not stand for National Primary Road, it stood for Neurotic. Every rule of the road was broken that day. In fact, I wondered if the drivers knew of the rules they were breaking. The drivers behind me were tailgating so close that I could see what they had for lunch still on their teeth. It got worse. While overtaking a camper-van using the middle lane, I noticed that he put his indicator on while we were side by side. I wondered if I was in his blind spot and to add to the confusion, there was nothing that close for him to overtake.\u00a0Then I noticed the truck, about a kilometer ahead of me in the left lane that wasn’t moving. \u00a0I had just finished overtaking the camper-van and another driver had begun overtaking me forcing me to pass the truck out on the inside. As I let out a sigh of relief, my engine turned itself off and the steering wheel stiffened. With the car still in motion I managed to switch it back on but it quickly turned off again. I pulled into Junction 5 bringing the car to a complete stop off the road.\u00a0Opening the bonnet I found a leaking radiator and a broken fan. \"Car<\/a> That’s me (I was ready for the sun soaked beaches in Kerry) I hesitantly accepted the fact that I wasn\u2019t going to make it home. I rang my insurance company hoping and crossing all of my fingers that I had road side rescue, I did!\u00a0I was at the mechanics yard within two hours. Since I pay such a high premium I don’t normally praise my insurance company, but I did get a great service that day.
