Mazda MX-5
The world record-holding MX-5 will have a whole new look in 2015. The world’s most iconic roadster may have a slightly chunkier body but weighs in at a full 100kg less than the current model.
The fourth-generation model will also feature ultra-efficient SKYACTIV technology that includes a first ever SKYACTIV-G petrol engine and an all new rear-wheel drive version.
Since its first introduction in 1985 more than 947,000 MX-5s have been produced and it holds the world record for the bestselling two-seater sports car. The MX-5 will go on sale in the UK early in 2015 at a starting price of £20,000 for the standard model. I can’t wait to see it!
Jaguar XE
Jaguar are one of my favourite looking cars on the road today. The XF makes my heart skip a beat, perhaps it’s that shape that reflects the sleek DB9 look and I've got a feeling that the XE will do just the same.
This model could be the answer to BMW's 3-series and even other rivals from Audi or Mercedes. Jaguars designer said that he wanted to stick with the “Jaguar design philosophy” as he claims “people have started to get used to Jaguar and what they look like” which explains the resemblance to its big brother, the XF.
The body is made up of lightweight aluminium giving it a stiffer frame for better control and it’s also the most aerodynamic Jaguar ever made. The top end model comes with a 3.0 litre V6 capable of 60mph in just 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.
It comes with technology equally as impressive as its performance, the car functions as a Wi-Fi Hotspot and has an 8” touchscreen with voice control so you don’t have to take your eyes off road. There’s even a fighter jet style Head Up Display unit that uses lasers to project information onto the car’s windscreen.
UK Ford Mustang
The new Ford Mustang gets a facelift, better fuel efficiency but most importantly it will be available in a right hand drive version. While the USA is the Mustangs main market the RHD version will serve a total of 25 new markets such as the UK, Australia and South Africa.
There has been no official word on price yet but it’s said that the four cylinder EcoBoost model will cost around £30,000 and the V8 model will cost an estimated £5,000 more.
Mini Cooper
The most powerful Mini ever has been revealed. The John Cooper Works Mini will go on sale in April 2015 from around £22,000. It features a 231hp 2 litre engine with Mini TwinPower Turbo Technology. This will get you to 62mph from standing in just 6.3 seconds. The new mini will be easy to identify with high performance Brembo brakes, 17” race spoke alloys and some aerodynamic features including a front apron and a rear spoiler.
