Mini has revealed that its new two-seater Coupe is to cost from £16,640 / €18.662 when it goes on sale later this year.
The fifth member of the new Mini family has been revealed for the first time in official pictures, and aims to be the sportiest of the range so far. I'm sure it will appeal to plenty of people but in my personal opinion its just plain ugly! Maybe the performance from the 208bhp engine in the range topping JCW model will help draw your attention away from the questionable styling. Maybe its going to be one of those cars that grows on you over time? We'll have to wait and see.
The price range goes from the £16,640 / €18.662 entry level to £23,795 / €26,686 for the JCW. It will make it to showrooms on 1 October this year.
Mini are launching the motorsport version of the Coupe this weekend at the Nurburgring 24 hour race. This car produces 247bhp from its 1.6 turbocharged engine and has a top speed in excess of 150mph. With Mini's recent motorsport Re-launch and WRC endeavours i think we can certainly expect to see some hot production car spin offs in the no too distant future.
