Rounds 3 & 4 of the Micksgarage.com Formula Sheane Championship traveled to Bishopscourt race circuit in N. Ireland this weekend.
Race 1:
Robbie Allen made a lightning start to snatch the lead from the pole position man Kevin Sheane, who got tangled up in a first corner incident which resulted in a red flag. Allen made an even better getaway at the restart leaving Brian Hearty, Keith Hogg and Dave Parks to battle it out for 2nd. Hearty ended up the victor of the battle for 2nd and Hogg took the final podium position.
Race 2:
Kevin Sheane had to concede pole position and was forced to start from the back of the grid after changing over to the spare MicksGarage.com car. The lights went out and straight from the off a 5 way battle between Allen, Hearty, Hogg, Parks and O’Connor began for the Lead. The pack swapped and changed places on nearly every corner with cars all trying to outbrake each other in what was described as the race of the weekend at the N. Ireland circuit. Dave Parks managed to grab the lead from a very quick and determined Hogg who threw everything he had into a last ditch effort to regain 1st but unfortunately for him it didn't work and he dropped to 4th. This allowed Park’s Micksgarage.com machine to take a much deserved first win of the season, with Hearty and Allen Claiming the other Podium positions.
