How Do Parking Sensors Work?

How Do Parking Sensors Work?

When buying a new car we always look at the specification of the make and model we are considering to get. It always sickens me when I venture over to piston heads to see what I could buy in the UK for the same price as what I’m getting here in Ireland. Whether its upgraded alloys, a sunroof or parking sensors, all these extras add onto an already expensive total bill. Unless you are buying your car new from the dealership or you’ve spent time shopping around to get the spec you are looking for, it can be difficult to tick all the boxes you originally wanted in a car. Here at MicksGarage.com, we have an extensive list of car accessories which really help to upgrade your car at a fraction of the cost when compared to a dealership. From the inside and out we have products that can easily be installed adding to your driving experience.

Parking sensors are becoming an ever more popular extra that consumers are looking to have on their cars, the last thing you want is to hit your car off another car or even worse a wall! With that being said there is a growing popularity for aftermarket parking sensors. Currently, in stock, we have both rearing parking sensors and front parking sensors. You can either buy the rear sensors on their own or both front and back together.

The product works by sending a message to the unit inside the car, to give the driver a warning when they are getting close to an object. The in car indicator bleeps at different tempos depending on how close you are to another car or a wall. These products are a great do it yourself project, but we would recommend seeking assistance if you are not familiar with car electrical system, we don’t want you getting a shock off the wiring!

The sensors really add another level of safety to your car especially if you have young children. These sensors can really help anxious drivers who don’t particularly like parking their car. We’ve also found that a lot of customers see a huge benefit when it comes to parking at night and in the rain. They save you the hassle of getting out of your car in wet conditions to see how close you are to another car or even a wall so, it adds a level comfort for the driver as well.

If you’d like to take things up a level then we also stock a reversing camera that connects up to your smartphone. The miniature camera can sit just above the number plate allowing for a discreet and accurate recording of the space behind the car. Simply by using the app, you can get a full clear view of the area you are reversing into. The camera has a night mode feature and it is also waterproof as well. It can also be used on the rear of a caravan which can really make parking a lot easier and more importantly safer.

So there you have it a quick look at our parking sensors and our reversing camera. If you having questions about, car accessories, simply send us an email at info@micksgarage.com and our team will help you to get Car parts for less. We will help you and we'll make sure that you're getting the best price every time!

Until next time,
