Between the end of the year and the start of a new one people can be stuck for money, with bills such as car insurance that can really sneak up on you. I know myself that my own premium finished on the 23rd of December, which really is terrible timing. Due to these fraudulent claims its estimated that an extra €50 is required on top of your insurance to compensate for the cost of these claims. What worse is the cost of some of the quotes being dished out by insurance companies. We’ve come across multiple quotes that are asking for extortionate prices. My personal favourite was a quote from liberty insurance looking for upwards of 15k for a years insurance. A quote that was more than the value fo the vehicle in question!

The likes of FBD insurance also incentivise having a dash cam by offering €50 off their insurance policies. For the students out there we’ve also seen kennco offering 10% to accommodate students on a tight budget. There is value out there it is just a case of shopping around and comparing the different companies to one and other.
