Happy Hallmark Day everyone! I’ve come on a bit from the days of youth, peering out the window waiting on the postman, only to be disappointed by his absence! Or at least I like to think I have. Having studied marketing (yes, studied) I’ve come to see a trick or too over the years or really understand the essence of what days like today are all about. For example, L’Oreal are not selling beauty products, no… Apparently, they sell hope! For proof, check this interview with Julia Goldin, who is of course quoting Charles Revson
Not being a motors man has not deterred me from sharing that same simple concept of “Hope”. Back in the day it was the famed Delorean:
Who didn't want one of these "Irish Built", yes Irish built, machines. Too Cool for School.
But as I got older something else came along, usually with a supermodel poster attached and it was the dream, the hope, the one and now after 50 years, we celebrate the Lamborghini ! Well, i do anyway :)
Arguments can now ensue as to what is the most powerful, beautiful supercar of all time – many will agree to my assertion of the Lamborghini.
This Valentine’s Day, the new guy gives you a brief reminiscent view of some of the beauties, we have seen over the years.
So to the lady readers out there, to keep him stimulated this Valentine’s Day without any of the fuss or cost, share this blog link and watch the inevitable drools.
Happy Valentines Day, From the New Lad.
