The Opel Adam takes the fight to the new breed of premium superminis such as the Fiat 500, Citroen DS3, Audi A1 and, of course, the MINI. It has the looks to compete, with cute, modern lines – not unlike a smaller A1 – rather than taking a retro approach.
It’s priced well and there are 30,000 combinations of trim, paint, wheels, equipment, lighting, graphics and other wotnots. There are 3 models called the Glam, Slam and Jam.

In addition, Opel is jumping back into the racing scene twofold, as it revealed both a rally car and an endurance racer that will see competition from 2013 to 2016. They are the Opel Adam rally car, and Astra OPC Cup race cars.
The Opel Adam rally car, while seemingly unchanged from the factory model other than a few stickers actually features several modifications in order to meet FIA R2 racing standards and will race in a subcategory of Europe’s ADAC Rally Masters series.
Meanwhile, the Opel Astra OPC Cup will race in Germany’s VLN Endurance Championship racing series, one of the most popular grassroots racing leagues in Europe.
