Introducing the Ferrari 340 Competizione, a modern take on the extremely rare 340 Mexico from 1952 which was built to win the the Carrera Panamericana, a race from border to border on open roads through Mexico.
This car, at the moment is only a rendering, produced by the guys at Gullwing America, who are responsible for building some very special recreations of the Mercedes Benz 300 SL with modern 'oily bits'.
The 340 Competizione is based on Ferrari 456 running gear and chassis but with a 'one off' custom aluminium body, apparently only one will be built. We think the styling certainly has the Marmite factor, personally i love it but it is without doubt a truly 'American' take on what a classic Ferrari should look like.
