This weekend saw one of the most important events in the modified car calender. The Gatebil festival, held at the Rudskogen circuit in Norway is probably the largest gathering of the fastest, wildest and most impressive modified machinery on the planet. We'll give you just a taste of the event here and we'll do a proper feature on it shortly.
There are a number of different events held over the festival weekend with the headline event being the drift competition.
Ireland's Darren McNamara finished a very respectable 2nd, the finishing touches to his heavily modified, rotary powered Toyota AE86 only being applied a few hours before the event.
1st place honours went to Mad Mike Whiddet in his 'MadBull' 4 rotor Mazda RX7. The team spent most of the weekend on the brink of exclusion because they couldn't get the 700hp monster under the 114 decibel noise limit.
