This week Monkey Harris has got his mitts on a Pagani Huayra, the new hypercar to replace the formidable Zonda.
The Huayra (pronounced why-ra, the name of 'wind god' we're reliably informed) is powered by a 6.0 litre AMG V12, like its predecessor but this time it has twin turbochargers. The German lump knocks out a healthy 730bhp at 6300rpm and an even more impressive 740 torques! In a car that only weighs 1300kg's (less than a Golf)that's quite a lot, especially as all that oomph is directed solely to the rear wheels.
Because of the turbo's, the V12 wail the Zonda had is sadly muted but it is replaced with some pretty addictive sounding turbo trickery. There's plenty of woosh as the boost builds up and good healthy wastegate chatter when the throttle is released.
Perhaps more impressive than all of this though, is that it would appear as though the Huayra has built-in arse/crotch cooling fans located the seats!
