This is an interesting one. Chris Harris gets a quick drive in the new hypercar from Porsche. It's a car still under development, but it is clearly only the final, finishing touches that are left to do or they wouldn't have allowed a bus load of journo's to have a go. It's got a flat 8 motor which revs to 9k rpm and sounds fantastic, it's got 880 odd bhp including the electric motors and 600 odd bhp from the petrol engine. The trouble, according to Harris is that it weighs 1600kg's. ditch the electricity and it would weigh 1100kg's and still have 600 bhp. Would it be better? Would that be missing the point?
