V8 Supercars is Australia's No'1 motorsport series and the Bathurst 1000 is Australia's No'1 motor racing event. The Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst is one of the most spectacular racing circuits in the world and the end of this years Bathurst 1000km was certainly a spectacle.

After 6 hours and nearly 1000km's of racing less than a second separates rookie Garth Tander in a ragged Holden and veteran Craig Lowndes in a slightly better car. Tander is leading but veteran Lowndes closes him down until they're swapping paint, but who comes out the victor?... its well worth a look:
