Jean Todt, FIA president and friend of Michael Schumacher has released a long awaited update on his friends condition. Todt visited the Schumacher family in their home in Switzerland and reported that he will be able to live "a relatively normal life within a short period of time". He also stressed that we should be grateful that “he is living" and "that his family is close to him”. He also added that his friend should be left to recover in private.
Michael Schumacher was in an induced coma for 189 days after his tragic accident in the French Alps last Christmas, he now resides in his home in Switzerland with around the clock care which is estimated to be costing £100,000 a month.
I look forward to hearing more positive news in the near future. As always, we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
