It is hard to gauge when to change an Air filter. A filter that is driven on clean national roads will last longer than one used on dusty / side roads. |However, fuel economy, performance and emissions begin to deteriorate and get progressively worse until the dirty filter is replaced. It is good practice to change the filter as part of a regular service.
